Over the years the partners and staff of Davson & Ward, have gained enormous experience of working on virtually every type of building and method of construction, using a wide variety of contractual forms and procedures.  Our primary expertise is in the traditional quantity surveying virtues: comprehensive cost control, economy of construction, management of budget, cost planning and proper bid documentation.  When appropriate, these objectives have also been achieved by non-traditional means such as the use of ‘fast track’ bid documents, target cost contracts, re-measurement contracts, etc.

All the work carried out in the last 35 – 40 years has been by Kenya based personnel.  The partners and staff of this firm have what must be unrivalled experience of all manner of construction developments.  We have very extensive experience over a wide area of Africa in the financial administration of building contracts of all types from the earlier budget estimating and cost planning stages, through the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of tenders received, and supervision of work and financial control during the construction stage to the final settlement of accounts and claims.
